Valley of the Kings & Felucca Ride

Depart from Safaga in a private convoy for a journey lasting approximately 3½ hours. The luxurious motor coaches are fully air conditioned, with reclining seats and equipped with rest rooms. Sit back and enjoy the unfolding vistas of barren mountains, flat desert and fertile areas as your guide introduces you to the history of Upper Egypt.

Arriving in Luxor you'll drive across the Nile to its West Bank where the Valley of the Kings is situated to visit three of the amazing tombs. Stop for photographs at the famous statues of Amenophis III also known as the Colossi of Memnon, standing exactly where they once flanked the entrance to the Temple 5000 ago. Let your imagination soar and with the mind’s eye witness the glorious entrance to the temple by Alexander the Great, a god paying his respects to another. Board a felucca for a cruise along the Nile complete with lunch catered for your enjoyment by a deluxe 5*hotel.

Cross to Luxor’s East bank site to visit the awesome Temple of Luxor, a place where many different gods were worshiped over the centuries. Excavated less than a century ago, the original temple was built from 1414-1397 BC by Amenophis III, with several later additions. Ramses II expanded it and added statues of himself; in the 4th century BC Alexander the Great rebuilt the sanctuary. Later the Romans restored portions and held services there, and finally the Muslims built a mosque within the temple. You'll then take the return journey to Safaga to rejoin your ship.

A motorized wagon train transports passengers from the parking lot to the entrance gate of the Valley of the Kings.

The visit to the King Tut’s tomb at the Valley of the Kings carries an additional fee.

Pay toilets are found inside the Valley of the Kings in the form of chemical toilets housed in large ship's containers.

The use of cameras & videos are not allowed at the Valley of the Kings.

A slight delay may be experienced on the way to Luxor to the various police checking points enroute
